A letter about the Avatar universe
Personally, I think the Avatar universe has the potential to be one of the best universes in fiction.
The world design, the character development, the creativity, everything in it has such huge potential. Four nations, each with its own people, its own philosophy and its own way of moving through the world. A story that can make you laugh and break your heart in the same episode. Characters who grow up in front of you.
So I thought to myself that a proper Avatar game, at least as far as the limits of AI can take it, would be such an amazing idea. Because sometimes, let’s be honest, Avatar: The Last Airbender did not get the treatment it deserved, sadly. Fans have waited years for a game that simply lets them live in that world: walk through Ba Sing Se, sit by the Spirit Oasis, and learn bending from a master who actually makes them practise.
I’m just one man who built this entire game in two weeks. No studio, no budget, no team. Only a love for this world and a new kind of tool.
I think that AI will one day be a part of us that we will no longer be able to ignore. And I believe that if we use it for things like this, to build the things we love and share them with the people who love them too, it will be awesome.
This game is my love letter to the Avatar universe. I hope that when you play it, it feels a little like coming home.
